My First Day In Roma

Hello, my name is Rosa.

I got up in the morning and got dressed and did my teeth. Then we went to the super market and bought some food for breakfast. The next thing we did was walk back home, have breakfast and then go for a 4k walk.

On the walk we passed loads and loads of ice cream (Gelato in Italian) shops. The first ice cream shop we went to, my brother got an ice cream. The next thing we saw on the walk was a big, huge fountain called the Trevi Fountain. The water in the fountain was very clean and there was lots of money in it.

Next to the fountain was another ice-cream shop. So we got an ice cream from there for me. The flavour of ice cream I had was Lemon Sorbet – it was strong and tasty!

After my ice cream, we walked down the city streets and saw the Pantheon. We walked in the Pantheon and then we went out of the Pantheon. We saw lots of horsey carriages and then we had lunch on the steps, next to another fountain.

We started walking back to the apartment and we saw another ice cream shop and my dad got an ice cream. The flavours my dad got were mango, chocolate, cappuccino and caramel.

The next thing we did was get tickets for the Metro. We did’t know which train to go on and then out of the blue, a kind man came and told us which station to go to and helped us find the right train. He also warned us about the pick pockets! The pick pockets are people who steal money out of people pockets!

Once we got on the train we waited for our stop. Then it was time to get off the train and start walking back to the apartment.

When we got to the apartment we spent a little time having tea and then me and my dad went on a short walk to the super market. When we got back to the apartment, we started playing a card game called Trumps. I won the game Trumps! Then we started writing this blog.
